Though it has been online for a while, it always feels good to see an article in print. The Design and Composition of Persuasive Maps just came out in the latest issue of CaGIS (November 2013). A pre-proof version is available here. Again, I have to thank the American Geographical Society (AGS) Map Library for their awesome map collection. Below is one of the maps I found in their collection that also made its way into the publication. The rise of highway maps may not have been televised, but it certainly was orchestrated!
